Atlas of Japan Englebert Kempfer 1729

This small atlas of Japan by Englebert Kaempfer 1671-1716 was published posthumously in 1729. The map of Japan is particularly important as it was extremely difficult to gain access to Japan in the 17th century. The cartography is of high quality and finely detailed with attractive decoration.
