Biblical Atlas-Fuller-1760-A-4-2
An unusual 17th century atlas of maps of Palestine by Thomas Fuller 1608-1661. There is a decorative frontpiece with text in English and Latin. Old Testament tribes are displayed together with an idealised view of mountains and rivers. Each maps has an attractive cartouche and a shield showing one of the 12 tribes. There are also maps of Solomon’s temple.
