Historic Atlases

Here we have a particularly impressive collection of digital historic atlases also from the 17th and 18th centuries. The extensive suite of more than 150 atlases includes works by foremost mapmakers including De Wit, Jaillot, Sanson, Mercator, Ortelius and the 11 volume Le Grand Atlas by Blaeu. All the major countries are included together with some unique work by Ptolomy and Sanson. There are also several important Worldwide/Global atlases of nautical charts by Van Keulan and Colom.
